Augusto C. Corella, MD

Dr. Corella is a Cuban-American physician born and raised in South Florida.  He received his undergraduate degree in Biology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX in 1994.  He graduated from the Howard University School of Medicine in Washington, DC in 1999. He completed his internal medicine residency training at The George Washington University Medical Center and then spent approximately 5 years providing inpatient healthcare as a hospitalist in both Washington, DC and Reston, VA.  He joined the medical staff of Alexandria Primary Care Associates in 2010.

Dr. Corella remains an active medical student preceptor at both The George Washington University and Howard University School of Medicine as an adjunct faculty of health sciences. Dr. Corella is ACLS certified and fluent in Spanish.  His other interests include biking, weight training, football, running and travel to Florida.
